Note: Yes this is a rewrite of an old RP that I had going a while back, I think this will be better. Thank you all.
Story:
Years ago there were three major countries. The Xionic Federation to the north, the Union of Yuketobianian Republics to the west and south west, and Ocia to the east and south east.
The Xionic Federation had tryed to expand their boarders into areas held by Yuketobiania and Ocia on numberious accounts. Each time, though, the Xionic Federation lost and was beaten back.
About thirteen years ago now, marks the anniversary of one of the most deadly and costly wars in the history of the three countries. The most talked about part of this war, that no one talked about, was a single unit of commandos. This is their story, this is the story of those that fought in this Unsung War.

(This is the opening post, I hope everyone likes it.)
[[[ Post Status: Complete/Incomplete ]]]
Kyoi sat outside the base on the smallest island in Ocian territory. Looking up at the crystal blue sky, watching some of the smaller clouds passing by. The day, for him, had been quiet. Not since about two hours before was there something for him to do.
Out on the air strip, several training pilots were getting a run-down of their training mission. Out on the small field, several more trainees were doing their combat exercises.
"So, ever ready for battle, huh?", came an old and gruff voice to his side.
"You got it, Pops.", Kyoi said, looking up at the sky, "Do you still want to fly, Pops?"
"Heh.", was the old man's reply. Kyoi knew what he was doing, the old- timer pilot and mechanic was looking out at the "Little Wings", as he called them.
"Kinda a dumb question, huh, Pops?", Kyoi said, watching a cloud pass. Slowly lowering himself down onto one of the small benches, Kyoi looked over at the aging mechanic. "Today should be interesting.", Kyoi said, looking at the man.
After that statement that Kyoi made, a young man ran up to them. The boy saluted both, then said, "Lieutenant Tao, The Base Commander requires you, and the Air Commander, in his office."
Kyoi looked over at the man, his powder blue eyes looked him over once. The boy's face had clearly broken out with pimples, and he was shaking. Fear, maybe, most likely excitement that he was sent by the Base Commander to fetch him and Pops.
"What do ya' say, Pops? Should we head over to the main?", Kyoi said, a smile coming to his face, "I mean, if Nagasei really needed us, she knows where we are."
Pops' only answer was a "Humph.", before he picked up a dirty rag to clean off some of the grease from his hands. "Well, tell her that we will be in shortly.", Kyoi said, looking from Pops to the boy, "Understand, Private?"
The boy nodded, the saluted and took off running. Kyoi clapped his hands together, then stood up, putting his hands behind his head. Looking up he sighed softly, "She is such a pain."
"I agree, but she is 'Queen of the Island'.", Pops said, wiping his hands. Throwing the rag into an oil barrel of used rags, Pops walked out of the hanger that he basically lived in.
The two set off to the Main part of the base, several jets taking off as they walked by. "They better bring them back in one piece.", Pops said, after the flight squad of four took off.
"I think that is the only way they can bring them back, Pops.", Kyoi said, chuckling softly. They continued to walk, moving past the fields, Kyoi turned an eye over to the trainees.
"Your kids, huh?", Pops said, keeping an eye on the younger Lieutenant. Kyoi just simply nodded, focusing on where he was headed.
- Five minutes later -
Kyoi and Pops walked into the Base Commander's office, after being stopped about twelve times. Kyoi looked at the commander, then nodded.
"Sit, the two of you.", Nagasei said softly, her sharp green eyes focusing on the older of the two. She watched as the two sat down in their respective chairs, looking back at her.
"What did you call us in here for?", Pops said gruffly. Kyoi then chimed in, "Yeah, what's the deal?"
"Yuketobiania has been becoming very active in it's military.", Nagasei said, then there was a sharp rap on the door frame. The Commander looked up, "Yes?"
"Tweleve or thirteen 'Unknowns' just entered airspace from Point Two Two Seven to Point Two Two Nine, Commander. Your orders?", the Radar operator said quickly.
"Send the more advanced squads there, all of the rest move back to the base.", Pops said, cutting off Nagasei at the pass.
"I want to know who it is, ASAP. Understand, and make sure they come home.", Nagasei said.

((I changed sides, this is my charrie and intro, just say if I'm not allowed to make up Jet and Commander 'Trout'.))
Name: Sally Elora Fitchberg Call-sign/ Call-name: Sally, if you know her well, but mostly people call her Fox due to her sardonic cunning. Age: 26 Gender: Female Side: Yuketobianian Rank: Cheif Specialty: Esponage,(sp?) air combat and is ok at close-quarters combat. Appearance: Slim, is often teased for her height because she is small, and olive skin. She has a slight oriental look. Hair Color: Dark copperish brown (adds to her nickname) Eye Color: A stunning amber History: Since her mother and father were killed during a unidentified raid by an enemy airforce, Sally has been a fighter; at the age of sixteen she became a political activist against the leaders of Yuketobianian, supporting a new party that was much more military and wanted to take very offensive action. However, after two arrests for supposedly causing protest riots, she decided to join the army where her actions may earn her respect and then her political view taken more seriously. [However, once she joined the army at 20, she saw the state of affairs was more tense than was widely broadcast to the country and turned her back on her political views and became suicidally patriotic, working her best to restore power and money to Yuketobianian.] Award(s): One for bravery after her team was ambushed and as the sole survivor carried out her mission and returned some stolen documents back to the Yuketobianian base. She was shot in the arm during the mission, though, and it took four mouths to heal fully.
~~~~~~
She flicked the nozzle back and completed a smooth angle of text book flight, ending with dropping the foam practice bomb right on target. She grinned. The intercom crackled into life. "Excellent shot, cheif. And perfect arc of flight, there." the voice beamed with pride. Sally grinned. "What'd'ya expect from someone with flying colours from the academy? And this is a top of the range Sparrow Hawk 1600..." she replied. A laugh could be heard and the connection cut. She lowered the beauty of a plane onto the runway and brought her home. Jet, as he was known, although his real name was Jeff, the flight instrutor and mechanic who was said to live with his machines, waved from across the strip. Sally unstrapped and flipped open the cockpit window. "She's bloody marvellous!" Sally beamed, slapping the shining green paintwork of the brand new plane. She had just been doing a test run; this was the lastest model off the rack and hadn't yet been flown anywhere else.
Suddenly her belt buzzer hummed loudly. Sally sighed. For a moment she had had pure enjoyment of flight, but not for long. It was Commander Felwich, also known as 'Trout' (behind his back) because of his large lips and habit of upon losing his temper, opening and shutting his mouth speechlessly like a fish out of water. He wasn't loved by anybody; but everyone appreciated his sheer tactical skill and absolute bravery when it came to it. His voice spoke out of the buzzer. "Cheif Fitchberg?" he rapped out. She sighed again. No one called her Chief Fitchberg. Fox, Sally, or Cheif, but not Cheif Fitchberg. "Don't sigh at me like that!" he snorted irritately. Sally pursed her lips. "New mission, immediatly. Report over at base and I'll breif you as you equip. Quickly now," he ordered, cutting the connection. Sally threw Jet a look, which he returned cheekily. "Quickly now? Must be an important one. You're going up in his standards," Jet grinned. Everyone knew that there was no lost love between the Commander and Cheif, it being a common joke. Sally swiped at him, and set off for the weapons room.
She entered the room, only a few minutes late, to recieve a series of disdainful glances from the other agents there and the Commander didn't even atknowledge her. She slid into her seat. Trout seemed midflow of the briefing and didn't pause as she coughed quietly. "..yes, so the team were lost half way through the operation. We do not know their situation, but their last recorded location was -13, 34, in a Xionic village just over the border." He finished. Sally coughed again. He turned cold eyes upon her. She smiled back, "What was the mission this team was on, sir?" He scowled, "If you had been here on time, Miss Fitchberg, you would know." He paused. Sally wondered wether he'd make her leave without knowing half the details. It seemed quite possible from the size of his scowl. "Four days ago, we lost connection with a team mid-way through a mission upon planting a bomb in the military base there. They were under highest defense and with the lastest camoflaging technology; but they disappeared. Our location blips have to be disabled by mechanics who know what they are doing, but they have been. It seems Xionians have a leak on how to tackle our technology." Sally gulped. This was serious. A leak? Traitors were a hazardous occurance. Trout slammed his hand on the table, "But we just recieved an message of goggledegook that has been traced to that location, and you are going to investigate along with Lieutenant Cerlson, and various others. Right, you are getting the lastest guns, a Hunanu 100, and two aircrafts between you. Cheif, you must obey any orders Lieutenant Cerlson gives you. Right?" Sally grimaced. Cerlson was cocky and disdainful of her--why he wasn't under Sally was a mystery to her. "Sure, sir." she voiced aloud. He nodded, as did the Commander. "Well then, the connection will be open at all times unless it goes at your end. Get going," the Commander announced grimly.
((Yeah it is fine, I am going to tie skip for my part, you can follow if you want. Also the reason why I do the Post Status is because I am working three jobs.))
[[[Post Status: Complete/Incomplete]]]
- The Next Day -
"Can you believe what happened?"
"Nah, I can't. Can you?"
"No way man, Who would start something like this?"
This was all that was all that was heard around the base. Kyoi hand his unit that he was training out on patrol duty, while Nagasei was trying to assemble a defense and Pops was working on the planes.
Something in the air surrounding the base was different, Kyoi noted that. In a report of one of the surviving pilot's it was noted that the planes that they were fighting against bore the Flag of the Xionic Federation.
"Chief, come 'ere. I got a question for you.", Kyoi said softly, shifting the weight of his rifle.
Willingly, but begrudgingly, the lower ranked officer came over to Kyoi. Lifting the nose of the rifle, Kyoi looked him over. "You saw what they were flying, right?", he said softly, again eying him over.
The Chief nodded slowly, "Yeah, of course. Your basic MiR- 35 A/T, although they flew them much differently then what the books say."
Kyoi nodded, "Thanks, thats all. I am going to leave you in command here, I need to see someone." And with that, Kyoi left. The Chief just looked flat out stunned.
Kyoi made it to the base shortly, and litterly ran into the Base Commander. After falling back slightly, Kyoi straitened up. "It was an aggressor squad, Commander.", Kyoi said softly.
Nagasei looked over at him, lowering her glasses to stare him in the face. "Yes, it sure looks that way. Also the Yuke's are reportedly getting a small offencive together to find a team of theirs.", Nagasei said, pausing in an attempt to figure out how best to give him his next task, "Kyoi, you will be put in charge of forming a commando squad. We can only have the best in it, simply as we need information on what we will be dealing with."
Kyoi smiled softly, a slight twinkle in his eyes. "Thank you, Commander.", was all that Kyoi could say, and he promptly left to go and look at files.
[Post Status: Complete] Sally clasped the joystick one again, flying a Chivul 6057, an old but reliably craft, commonly called a Chiv. Although she was on Autopilot, she liked the feel of the joystick in her hand. Cerlson was flying in beside her. It was a clear sky and below it was flat forest. On the screen a red flash showed their desination; the source of the message. The techinians had shown her a copy. 'Grvdngrtrtrnrrnksbwrjksn' Nonsense, surely. Or not? Jet had always been good at riddles and as they left Sally had given a copy to him to decipher. If he worked it out he could contact her personal intercom, because officially he shouldn't know anything about the mission; she hoped no one found out. Suddenly, a light flashed out. It wasn't on the screen; but outside, coming from amoung the trees. It was a help flare. She flicked onto intercom with the other plane. "Lieutenant? Are you recieving me?" she spoke into the mic. Captain Jackson, another soldier on the mission, peered into the cabin. The intercom crackled. "Recieving you, cheif. What is it?" "Er, that flare, sir. Permission to check it out? Whoever it is could be in trouble." "Not granted, cheif. It could be some sort of trap." "What? I'm in a fast aircraft, with guns attached. What could harm us?" "Never assume, cheif. I forbid you to leave formation." Cerlson spoke angrily this time. "But-" "No buts. Whoever is down there-" "-could be in serious trouble! People lives may be in danger!" "As could the crew about your craft be in danger. This is a direct order, Cheif! Don't you dare-" "I'm sorry, Leiutenant. I'll fly straight out if it's suspicious, and I'm going to do it wether you order it or not." "I get this back to the Commander, you'll see, don't go through with-"
But Sally had cut the connection. Jackson looked alarmed. "Er- Fox, I'm not sure wether we should-" "Oh, shut up, Captain," Sally groaned, and dived the plane down in a gentle spiral towads the site the flare oringinated from. She was fed up with doing what people expected or said. She'd pay for this later, but for now she'd do what she thought was right. She scanned the area with her eyes. "Jackson, program the computer to do a heat sensitive scan. We'll see if there is anyone done there." He sat down in the co-pilot seat and typed into the on-board computer. After a moment he answered, "Positive, cheif." "Put it on the main screen," Sally ordered. He flicked a switch, and it appeared. There was a clear source of heat. It was an active gunner canon, build for shooting down planes. Uh oh. Sally set autopilot and turned to Jackson grimly. "This doesn't look good. The flare was fake, someone knew about us being here," she stated. Suddenly her personal intercom switched on. "Er, Fox, you getting me?" Jet's unsure voice spoke out. Comforting in this terse situation. "Yes, Jet. What is it? You deciphered the message?" "Yeah, as far as I can see. 'Grvdngrtrtrnrrnksbwrjksn'. Got no vowels, has it? Or spaces? But they are there. So you split them into likely words and you get: Grv dngr trtr n r rnks bwr jksn. Yeah. And then you add the vowels to get the message: 'Grave danger traitor in our ranks beware jackson'. Pretty good work, eh, Fox? You should call me Riddle in recognition of my amazing skills.... er, you ok, Fox?"
There was a pause. "I'm good, Jet. Thanks," Sally sighed down the mike, and cut the connection. She looked up at Jackson. He looked back, with an incomprehensible expression. "I'm no traitor, Cheif." he stated coldly. Sally stared at him, and he continued, "I've worked so hard for Yuketobonian, and I swear I would never harm anyone; maybe it's another Jackson, or a trap, or ... I don't know. But I sure don't trust that message." Sally sighed again, "I know you well enough, Captain, not to blindly believe this note, but others will believe it. If you are innocent then you'll pull through. But the Commanders don't like not knowing. They need a scapegoat, and I fear you'll become it." Jackson shrugged, "I can bear that for my country." Sally felt emotional at Jackson's supposed sacrifice, but part of her still was screaming that it made perfect sense that he was a traitor. However, she'd trained with him and her heart would never believe the message. Anyway. Back to the present. She flicked the intercom back with the Leuitenant, "Cerlson? It's a gunning canon," she said regretfully. "What did I say, Cheif? We're getting out of here now. I fear this whole mission is a setup." "Right. And I deciphered the message." "What message?" "It means Grave Danger Traitor In Our Ranks Beware Jackson," ".... Captain Jackson?" "But it could be a trap, a false message..." "But it could be valuable truth. Will he come quietly?" "He pleads innocent. He'll come." "Ok. Back to base," he said, and even through the intercom you could hear the glee in his voice. Sally gritted her teeth. This was all glory to him. Leuitenant Cerlson, discoverer of the traitor. National Saviour. Blah blah blah. Self absorbed pig. With a regretful look at an unhappy Captain, Sally swung the Chiv back towards base, the only sign of her anger her white knuckles from clenching the controls.
Kyoi looks at his options... Three people were it. Sighing softly, then looking back down at the three. "So what do you have there, LT?", Pops said, pulling the cigar out from between his teeth.
"Well, if you want to know, only three.", Kyoi said, his eyes wandered from the three files to Pops. Looking down at them, Kyoi sighed again, "And none of them are active."
"Son, you know so well as I do, Sand Island as well as almost all of Ocia is up in arms.", Pops said, flipping his ash into the small ash tray near them, "Those that aren't active yet, will be soon. You know that."
"True, Pops.", Kyoi said, throwing the files to the older man. Turning to look out the window, Kyoi ran his hand through his hair. The one ceiling fan spun slowly as Pops looked at the files, grinning as he went.
Whistling softly, Pops set down the files. "What a squad you have there, only thing you are missing is a commanding officer."
"Actually, Air Commander.", Nagasei said, her head popping in the door. The Base Commander looked over her glasses at the young Lieutenant, then over to Pops.
"Yeah, Commander, I am talking the helm of the group.", Kyoi said, still looking out the window.
"And your unit will be gathered and air lifted here by Oh one thirty.", Nagasei said, pulling her head back, and leaving the two friends alone.
