Phantom sighed. "Fine." He said to Lune. "But if you get caught, I'm not busting you out." He told her as he started to walk away, over to King to accept that green tea offer. He actually would help Lune if she did get caught, but he figured that telling her he wouldn't would make her more careful.

Lune gave Phantom a slightly wild grin, and bounded away. Her long, loping stride meant she had found the high street with five minutes. She pulled a grey silk scarf from one of her coats many pockets and tied it over her head so her wolf ears were hidden. She hung her tail low so it wasn't so much of a bulge under her coat. Still, it wasn't a great disguise; there was still something wild and untrustworthy about her.
Grinned widely, and wolfishly, Lune wandered innocently into the offending shop. Glancing in the window, she saw that the rumours were based on truth. The shopkeeper looked up when she entered, and frowned. "We're closing up, miss. Come back tomorrow," he grunted. Lune looked passably apologetic. "Sorry," she smiled, "I didn't relise. I'd better, er, leave then," and turned for the door. The shopkeeper's eyes followed her out the door and down the street. What he didn't relise is that Lune had memorised the shape of the shop- and location of the security camera and alarm.
Once out of view, Lune pulled off the scarf. She'd formed a plan. She wanted this to be showy, but not serious. The shopkeeper would recover his business, but he'd now know the rules. Lune smiled, and settled down against the wall to wait for the shopkeeper to finish packing up and go upstairs to his house. Then she'd begin.

King poured Phantom a cup of green tea, then held his own up up, taking a sip. "I do hope our Lune takes care of herself. She's a big girl, but I still worry. She seems to possess a bit of a desire to prove herself."

"I don't get why." Phantom said, taking a sip of the green tea. "She's already proven herself tons of times. She's one of our best field agents, and she's never been caught." He reminded King.

"I still worry." King admitted. "I've not been having good dreams lately...I continue to dream of captures and tortures. Hence why I'm trying to develop some tea that will stimulate good dreams."

"Drink some more of that green tea and relax." Phantom said, sitting down. "I doubt that Lune'll get herself caught any time soon."

Barkley, getting impatient, decided to go and look for Sally and Karla himself.
"Cooper!" He called as he saw her walking down the hall, still looking grumpy about her inability to catch Phantom.
"Yes Chief?" Karla asked, walking up to him.
"Do you have any idea where Fitchberg is? I have an assignment for the two of you!" He said. Karla shrugged.

Kit turned his head. "Coming from a blind anthro, it should not surprise you.", he said, then his ears perked, "Your boss is looking of you, I will find you at a later time.", and with that he was off, out the window.

Sally watched him leave, bemused and puzzled. But now was not the time, he was right; she had to find Karla and meet Barkley. She grabbed her belt with her gun in it's holster, and her walkie-talkie if they needed back-up or to contact the station. She also picked up the keys to the police car and her smart police hat. Then she left the office, to come across Karla and the Cheif together. "I was just coming to look for you, Karla, but," here she made a puzzled face, "a blind fox anthro with three tails was waiting in my office, before exiting within minutes out the window. Don't ask, I've no idea who or why or anything! Strange. Anyway, chief, you said you had a job for us?"

Lune saw the lights finally flick off and the curtains of the room above it pull closed. She reached for a bag she'd fetched while waiting, and withdrew from it a handful of eggs and some stones. She weighed one egg in her hand, before, with a superb flick of the wrist, smashing it in the centre of the window. And from the camera, the egg would have come from nowhere- she'd made sure of that. She followed it through with a volley of stones and eggs until the window display was a mess of raw egg and shattered glass. The police would be on the scene soon. But this wasn't the end of her plan. She approached the drainpipe and tested it for stability. It was safe. She took her time climbing it and pulled herself to onto the roof within throwing distance to the roof window of the shop. Now she had to wait until the shopkeeper called the police. And when he was downstairs speaking to them, the upstairs would be nice and empty... Lune grinned maliciously to herself. Phantom would be proud. Three untraceable stunts on one night? Now, that would not be good for the police image... Lune giggled quietly to herself.

"Yes." Barkley nodded. "Come, follow me." He led the two to his office and motioned for them to sit down, before he did so himself.
"These anthro thieves are getting harder and harder to catch." He began. "I believe that we should send officers undercover to infiltrate their gang." He said.
"Who are you planning to send?" Karla asked.
"You two." Barkley answered.
"What!? But Sir, Phantom would recognize me in an instant!" She protested.
"That's what disguises are for, Inspector Cooper!" He replied. "Now I won't take no for an answer. Your knowledge of the anthros will be most useful in infiltrating their gang."

SFX: Peaceful classical music
King sipped his tea some more. "Ahhh. Nothing like my special blend. I'd market it if not for the fact that the police would no doubt haul me in for questioning." He laughed softly.

Sally began to fiddle with her hair. "They aren't fools, Cheif. They'll be critical of any new recruits and two at the same time who don't have any special abilities? I dunno. But you look to me like you've got something up your sleeve. How do you propose we trick them into believing we're sneaky anthros on the wrong side of the law?"

The light flicked on again, and Lune heard a russling and thumping where the shopkeeper was clearly getting up and hurrying downstairs to investigate the commotion. Lune grinned to herself again. Carefully and quietly, she snuck along the edge of the roof. It was a long way down to the ground, but Lune trusted her sense of balance. She reached the window in no time at all. Carefully, she pulled something from her coat. It was a bit of metal, thin on one end and thick on the other, a piece of leather wrapped round one end to make a handle. She slipped the thin end in the slim gap between the window and the frame, and, applying a little pressure, forced it open. Like she'd guessed, the shopkeeper didn't bother locking his window- it had been quite hot lately, and regular use often ment forgetting security. The window slid upwards smoothly. She climbed through easily and grinned again. She was in. The bedroom was small but lavishly decorated; the shopkeeper evidently liked his bit of luxury. Examining a plush armchair, Lune put the earlier tool back in her coat and took a knife from her belt. She slashed the armchair viciously and then turned evilly to face the rest of the vile furniture. Entering the study across the landing, still tiptoeing, Lune heard the shopkeeper's paniced and whimpering tone on the phone to the police. Lune hurried up. In the study, she searched the draws quickly. One was locked. Good. Something important. Taking a lockpick from her coat, she broke it open. There was a pile of boring documents and letters. She took them out and rolled them up, stowing them in her coat. She'd look at them later. Silently, she crept back across the landing, through the bedroom. Time was running out, and the shopkeeper was off the phone- he may come and investigate if he heard anything suspicious. So it was time to leave. Lune slipped out the window. To see a group of police cars gathered around the front of the shop. Clearly, they thought this important- the Shade's doing. She flattened herself against the window, but it was too late. The police saw her. Stupid Lune, not checking, before you climbed out. Now you were stuck on the roof. The police were undecided on their actions- they couldn't shoot; because the criminal was only a vandal. But they couldn't pin the criminal down and handcuff them- they were on a roof. Lune took advantage of it and climbed upwards, over the slope of the roof. There were shouts and something wizzed past Lune's ear, hitting the roof tiles. It was a tranquilizing dart. Maybe they'd seen her tail, so would treat like an animal. Or maybe they recognised her trademark coat. Once on the over side of the roof, Lune looked for a way down. She could hear the police siren; one was coming round to the street on her side of the roof. When that happened, she wouldn't be able to hide. Quick. There must be a way off the roof...

Kit stood at the top of a building, his feet touching the cool cement. A soft smile came to his face, so they were going to try and break in to the Shade... Phantom will find this interesting. And with that he was off to find King.

"There is a new experimental serum which will give you the traits and abilities of an anthro." Barkley said. "Temporarily, of course." He added.
"Experimental?" Karla repeated. "No offense Sir, but are you sure it's safe to take something like that, especially when it's experimental?" She asked.
"Not to worry, not to worry, Inspector Cooper, all of the tests so far have proven the serum safe." The chief answered. "The serum wears off after one week, so you will have to report back every seven days to receive another dose of it." He told them.
"But Sir I-" Karla began, but Barkley cut her off.
"Now I don't want to hear another complaint about it, from either of you." He said. "You either take this assignment or you're fired. Understand?"
"Yes, Sir..." Inspector Cooper said, sighing.

King sipped his green tea again, looking worried. "...she should have been back by now..." He said softly, going to the door and folding his arms across his chest.

"I told her it was a bad idea to go out again." Phantom said. "She's probably gotten herself caught." He sighed and shook his head. He was quiet for a moment, then he stood up from where he was sitting. "I'm going out to find Lune." He said, glancing back at King.
